Re: Site suggestions and feedback

before I pass out.....

having the thread title appear in the header (when replying or reviewing the thread.....currently, you have to either click on the first page/scroll down or if clicking last post/scroll up would be my first suggestion....

thank you for doing this....

there's others I will feed you tomorrow....I'm too tired right now....

oh yeah.....change when the user replies to a post with [img0] to remain [img0] instead of it auto changing to [url0]

I'm certain you've noticed I"m the only poster that changes the code so the pic appears in my response.....

there's more.....like the fact when I type code, it doesn't allow me to post as code......see what I had to do to the brackets to get this to post this response.....

error msg: [img0] was opened within itself, this is not allowed

I'm not sure that's a good change. After you've seen a pic once, it can take up a lot of unnecessary space in each response. Especially when you get a lot of responses.

Re: Site suggestions and feedback

Still have issues with posts I have read appearing as new posts.

Whether using one device or two.

Seems like it is time based v. based upon what I have actually viewed.

Not a huge deal but a little disappointing to lick the calf over several times.

seriously....img isn't a problem on the other site....maybe it is the way it's currently coded....again, I don't write code anymore

you stomped pig vomit with how you're handling vids (I have no clue why he doesn't do that)....he embeds all (and I'm set to 50 just like I am here)....it sucks on my fave music thread on the coos-coos board....

..... posts/page is also easily modified by the user.....if one chooses 10 per (which most do based on what I've seen referenced over time), I don't see an issue.....and I have an I5s and a pos cpu.....

caught my second wind....told ya I'd help ya out wink

This should now be happening when you view a thread. Still working on the "post reply" page...

still empty (still have to scroll to the top to see thread title).....maybe I didn't explain it correctly

when I click last post or am scrolling thru any thread, the "header" still only shows the time stamp *and post #* and nothing else.....

does that make more sense???

edit: * also, making the post # as a clickable item has value (i.e. address change to allow ctrl-c/ctrl-v to redirect to a direct post)

First, click on the image icon in the toolbar above the text box where you type your text. It looks like a Polaroid of an oak tree and  it's near the middle of the toolbar. A dialog will appear, where you can post the URL of the GIF and then press Enter or click the OK button.

Or just paste the URL and I'll probably see it and fix it smile.

I understand now. What you requested should now be visible under certain circumstances:

1) People who use your theme will always see the title text where you requested it.
2) People who use the default theme (e.g. guests and new users) will see what you asked for on desktop, but not on mobile.
3) People who use the "Sulfur" theme (i.e. most established users) won't see this text

I did things this way because the addition you requested tends to take up valuable screen space on mobile devices, and because I think that most people who have stuck with the "Sulfur" theme from the get-go are happy with what they see.

Thanks

Got somewhere else to post this now.

Actually, I had tried that but failed to change the format from mp4 to gif.

Re: Site suggestions and feedback

Something else for you, Stinkfist:

I would really like to replace that theme your using with something built around "Mobile," but with a lighter color scheme (no gray background).

Your theme is different from "Sulfur" and "Mobile" in structural ways; it goes beyond color. Maintaining it has a high cost, because it's so different.

At some point, I want to work with you on creating a theme based on the structure of "Mobile" but with a white background. We can call it "Fist" or something during development / testing.

Let me know what you think.

The 60 second wait is irritating.

Like waiting for the microwave.

I have to wait 25 more seconds to post this.

Now 4 seconds.

You can put your code in a "code block." I made one below. To make one, just highlight the code you're trying to post and click 10th toolbar icon from the left (the icon looks like an old-timey scroll with <> in front of it).

[just][trying][to][post][brackets]

This feature is also useful for making tables, since it uses a monospace font:

Team Wins Losses
---- ---- ------
USM 8 4
Tulane 5 6
