Roy Alan Firestone

I always liked Brett Favre. He was always accessible for an interview and I was happy to host and participate in his charity events in Mississippi. He was one of my favorite guests on my show because he was candid about his life, open with his opinions and his family was always kind to me. In fact, I think he enjoyed our friendship and my foundation supported his Brett Favre Four-ward foundation with a major contribution.
Up until now, I have reserved commenting on the allegation that he personally took part in diversion scheme that took welfare funds from needy and poverty stricken families and instead sent it to Southern Mississippi's volleyball program, using the money to help build a volleyball court, among other things.
I was hoping that Brett did this innocently, and was unaware that he was engaging in fraud and a serious criminal act.
Unfortunately, my hopes were proven to be wishful thinking and naive.
It turns out, that Brett not only knew what he was doing, tried to cover it up, and he did it twice.
This reality and the fact that Favre has already had to personally pay back the state millions in essentially stolen funds confirmed to me that Brett Favre was, in fact, a thief.
That's not an easy thing for me to write. I'm uncomfortable writing it.
Mississippi is a very poor state. I think close to 20% of its citizens are at or near the poverty line. So many people need help from the state government to survive. Unemployment is high and resources to help these people are very low.
The fact that Brett, who has done some good work in the state, and has, indeed made contributions to needy people can't mitigate the fact that Favre knew what he was doing was wrong, and did it anyway.
I am so disappointed in Favre, and the state and his fans should be outraged.
I always had the willingness to give friends of mine, the benefit of the doubt in serious criminal allegations because I've seen people I knew endure unfair and in some cases false charges.
But not here.
Brett Favre, the man who inspired so many with his thrilling football play, the man whose "good old boy" personality entertained and led the Packers to greatness, it turns out is nothing more than a crook.
I hope he doesn't elude the "rush" of authorities for these crimes.
This is one "pass" he doesnt deserve. He sure wont get it from me.

Coll also says if you people would go to games Toby would pave streets.

"University spokesperson James Coll said in a statement that individual donors, in addition to the $5 million from the nonprofit, contributed to the construction."

Jim Coll > EaglePost

"Southern Miss fans, we need you at The Rock this Saturday.

It is now clear that Coach Hall is re-building our program, and the team is improving each week. We are on a path to success--how quickly we get there depends, in part, on you.

We are not there yet, but this team will win games, this year--and they will win a lot in future seasons. Each Saturday offers an opportunity to accelerate the timeline to success with a win. And sometimes, like it was in Week 1, the margin of victory is one play or one moment--a play or a moment that your attendance and your encouragement of our Golden Eagles can impact. You can be the difference.

If you're a football fan, be there early, be loud, and don't let up  through the end. But even if you are not a football fan, show up. Be there, not only for the team, but for our hometown. This community benefits financially and culturally when Southern Miss football is successful. Yes, like it or not, wins mean more students, more fans, more tax dollars, more paved roads, more employment opportunities, etc.

This job will get done. It will. I am confident in Coach Hall, and the men who make up the Southern Miss football roster and its coaching staff. We need you to do your part to ensure it happens as soon as possible. Be there on Saturday.
SMTTT."

When Vladimir Putin put his 150K troops into the Ukraine he not only increased the price at the pump and caused inflation

When Toby decided to spend the Taco Tax money on roundabouts, giraffe food, and electric trains he also put the brakes on any and all progress related to RGC……..

There ya go

Sunshine Hoops are even worse than SUNWACUSA .. I'm sure Jeremy can make another "one of us hire" to lead Southern to a mid pack finish in a one bid league.  roll

JoyeLad stated that if anyone had a problem with his coaching they can go see him in his office to discuss it.

The 4-19 4-20 4-21 4-22 4-23 4-24 record and 8000 empty seats speak for themselves.

The JoyeLads with another home defeat by more points than paying attendees now sit at 4-18 anchoring the # 319 spot in D-1 hoops. The Sunshine Belt is actually worse at roundball than Uncle Judy's party, with those pesky South Alabama Jaguars being the toast of the conference at #129. Great hire and move Jeremy, you've got a revenue sport 24 spots behind Jackson State and  a full 106 behind SWAC leader Texas Southern now.

JoyeLad starts off this week in the #308 position slipping behind 1-12 Prairie View and lagging far behind #295 Hartford. He picked up a midweek game this week vs. New Testament College of Laurel in hopes of getting the ever elusive win #5 to sell Jeremy on that raise and extension.

JoyeLad followed up the "big" win at NE Mexico with a 33 point defeat Saturday night to East Juarez, bringing this year's record to 4-9. He had ascended to #295 using the covid cancel strategy before scurrying back to #309, significantly behind #288 Alcorn but staying slightly ahead of winless Prairie View at #315.

Great hire Jeremy
