Thanks for the good comments. We are 2 weeks in, and we're getting rave reviews on the food. Jeremy Noffke from Crescent City Grill is the Executive Chef here at Gulf Coast Grill. The people down here on the Coast are great....and they're all food experts, so we have to be on our toes. Again, I'm here everyday, so introduce yourself if you stop in.

I've had to check out for a while as I opened a new restaurant in the Ocean Springs / Gautier area, and I can't even think straight right now. Anyway, the food is delicious and the beer is cold. Check the restaurant out at or search for Gulf Coast Grill on Facebook. And when you're on the coast, please come visit and introduce yourself if you can. And Go Eagles.

Rick Ankiel could probably come in and settle the Wallner-as-a-pitcher vs. Wallner-as-an-outfielder question once and for all.

Any Rick Ankiel or Jose Oquendo post gets a thumbs up from me.

I don't know who totted it up, but the phrase "Best of the Rest" is epitome of tottiness.

That is some convoluted shit.

So if you bought a ticket to the basketball game vs. Rust and a bag of boiled peanuts at any home SUNWACUSA home football game you can buy a general admission ticket on Wednesday from 12:30-12:47 if you wear your "Sothern" Miss tee shirt from the Florida State massacre? But you can only pick it up at will call for the Sunday game?

I can't wait.

I've got my Little Orphan Annie decoder ring set to TTT. Count me in.

Where did this come from? CUSA made zero effort to market itself in such a manner (outside of the Mumbletown - NITChampsburg area).

Hell, I can make a P9 flag for our next home game against Eastern Alabama Valley State or whoever.

#20 Re: Southern Miss » 2017 football: grade the coaching staff » 2017-12-29 19:09:09

Solid "C"  for me. The team had several opportunities to get a signature win and came up empty. Eight wins is "decent", except when you consider our pitiful schedule this year. In this conference, you don't deserve a "B" unless you play in the conference championship game. An "A" is you win it.

Coaching staff gets a half letter-grade bump for exceeding everyone's expectations on W/L. But a half-letter grade demotion for failure to play the right QB.

And you get zero points or bumps for producing a good recruiting class on paper. You can't expect to be graded on those recruits until they factor into team results.
