#1 Re: Southern Miss » Do you know anyone that roots for a G5 school (other than USM)? » 2018-01-16 10:55:51

There are quite a few folks in the Baton Rouge area that I know drive over to Lafayette and support the Ragin Cajuns.  Not everyone here is a stankin lsu fan.

I like that Top Golf stuff.  Usually go to the one in Jacksonville when visiting my daughter.   They will have one here in BR by this coming summer.

Sure looks like a USM crowd to me.

There is a lesson to be learned today: USM fans will show up, and will engage with USM sports, if the team has a shot at a decent opponent.

That is the nucleus of a successful athletic program.

I'm elated that I didn't waste both physical and monetary resources to watch this shit play calling in person.

If a dead Charles Manson was running for Senator in Alabama on the republican ticket, that Yankee shitass would support him.

#13 Re: Southern Miss » TB Bucs are 4-9 and officially out of contention » 2017-12-11 09:34:53

True story.   Back in "the day", the Bucs were playing a game at Milwaukee County Stadium vs. the Packers.  One side of the scoreboard read "Green Bay"......the other read "Tampa".  The next year the Packers had a return game with the Bucs.  Scoreboard read "Tampa Bay"....other side "Green".

I'm good with fans that didn't attend here being on board and being critical as long as they support financially in some manner  (tickets, EC, etc).  Lord knows we have plenty of alumni that do not/have not/will not support USM in any manner.  Those are the scourge of the earth to me.

well that's the thing. the 3 people (that I know of) on here who are not graduates but want to come on our message boards and bad mouth and rant and rave about everything USM do not support the sports teams financially in any way. the gall of some people huh? I do know that Cajun supports us and has for decades. Cajun is one of those fans that you have to tip your hat to. He actually does more than many graduates.

Thank you so much.  I think I've only missed 2 home games and maybe 4 bowl games in the last 19 years, due to all kinds of circumstances.  But this year in October, they started me on a hell of a immunotherapy combination Optivo and Yervoy for 4 infusions.  Most folks make it through 2 due to not only attacking the tumor, but also some good cells and organs  I made it through 3 and had to stop it because of 15/20 bouts of Diarrhea....daily.  The combo literally knocked the shit out of me.  I had to miss the last 3 home games.  Hopefully I'll make it back next year.

Just shut the Football program down for, maybe, one season.  Let's get our shit together during that time.  Tell C-USA to kiss our collective asses and go Independent.  May have to clean house....with a strong, young AD who would come in and work on finding monies that will sustain us for at least a decade.  I know this is pie-in-the-sky ideology, but I think this is what it will take moving forward.  If we can't survive that ten years, then fuck it,
