In an effort to get away from all the Katrina madness in 2005, 5 of us flew to Raleigh.....(yeah, our arms were tired) then drove up to Howdy-Doody stadium for their game with USM on Oct.,1st.  Security took my pocket knife and nail clippers, and never gave them back.  Beat the crap out of them, like 33-7 (sumpin like that).  Never seen so many stankin assholes congregated in one place..........except in Houston.

#4 Re: Southern Miss » Question for our liberal friends » 2018-02-28 22:35:29

In my 70 years, I've only shot 3 types of "guns".  An M-1 in Boot Camp ( 1967 ) to qualify to be able to graduate.  A 50 cal. on the 82 footer in Viet Nam, And a flare gun ....twice.  Came close to firing a 45 cal. handgun while on Quarterdeck watch at this damn seagull that was driving me nuts in Cape May, NJ..  Never fired a weapon as a civilian, and probably won't.

We just have to ban all guns Except hunting rifles. Same as they did in England. 2nd amendment says nothing at all about having the right to own specific firearms. So you get a hunting gun like they had back when they wrote the Constitution. And nothing more.

Why not hunting rifles then ? They are just as deadly . You realy , truly do not think before you post . Do you even own a gun ? Ever shot a gun ? Let's also ban knives . And drugs[ oops ,tried that ] Alcohol [ leads to drunk driving fatalities and not constitutionally protected] fertilizer[used to make bombs] violent video games [ some research suggests lead to violence in our youth ] frying pans [ some women use to hit husbands over the head with ] Cars -[ horses are safer ]
Let the banning of begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay then, start banning bullets/projectiles.  That's the real killer....not guns or rifles.  Get rid of what comes out the barrel.  Now all these rednecks and coon-asses can keep their right to bare arms, and yeah...I know...folks can still make their own at home, but at least it won't be as easy as going down to Jim's Fire Arms and just picking up a couple of boxes.

#6 Re: Southern Miss » Raisin Canes chicken fingers » 2018-02-27 20:11:41

After graduation from Episcopal High here in Baton Rouge, Todd Graves stayed home and went to LSU with no idea what to get a degree, so he went into the college of business.  In Fall semester of his senior year, one of his entrepreneurial classes had an assignment to come up with an innovative concept to be judged by 5 business profs.....(early version of Shark Tank).   His idea was a simple choice of fried Chicken strips......fries.....and a piece of toast.  Long story ....short, he was shot down by the profs.  Not so much for the presentation, but the concept stunk.  He made an "D" on the paper that he turned in.  He kept the idea in his head just to see it through.  Worked as a welder on boilers, then as a Salmon fisherman in Alaska just to raise money for his first store. He along with Craig Silvay opened there 1st restaurant at the corner of Highland and State  street just outside the North gates of campus on August 28, 1996.  The special secret sauce is what made it work.  By 2008, Raisin Canes is over 100 restaurants with over 100 million in sales.  Todd moved the corporate offices to Dallas last year, but keeps a fairly large set-up here.  I'm gonna guess he's worth around 50-60 million by now.

What about which wich? Anybody had a which sandwitch? And if sew, which wich did you get?

Which wich in Nashville.  You pick up a lunch sack and crayon and check off what kind of sandwich you want on the sack.  Lots and lots of options in how to dress your order.  Clip it on the order rack, and the cooks move the order down the line.  Kind of a pretty cool concept.......and the food was pretty good and fresh.

Sure looks like a USM crowd to me.

There is a lesson to be learned today: USM fans will show up, and will engage with USM sports, if the team has a shot at a decent opponent.

That is the nucleus of a successful athletic program.

I'm elated that I didn't waste both physical and monetary resources to watch this shit play calling in person.
