The infield is all grass, ir is it field turf? Dumb looking park.  That old fart that goes to all our games is there. All he ever yells is "Rope It". You can hear him on the "COOSATV" feed.

Judy fixed it for you.

I thought he was a great commissioner for C-USA. Light years beyond the previous and current commissioners. A number of years ago, Tim Doherty was on the elevator at a conference meeting and asked Commissioner Slive a question about "COOSA". Commissioner Slive replied, "Tim, the conference is named C USA, (Spelling out each letter)." Tim never mentioned "COOSA" around him again. He did his job as the C-USA commissioner as well as the SEC.

Commissioner Slive would never be seen in a plastic kids jeep. Now "oui" really are COOSA.

Boats and Hos favorite band. Hauling Oats. He is still mad at Pinhead and I for not seeing them at a show.

Used to go all the time. Back then it was wide open. Mud Bogging ditch, open camping, pretty much anything went. I saw more private parts, guns, live raccoons, live parrots, mother and daughter offering tricks,  fights, blown engines in the parking lot, injuries from framing hammers to the head, death by Coleman lantern in a tent, burned up motor homes and campers to name a few.

Each year it became more tame as the track took control of things. In the end we quit going because the track owners screwed up tickets my friend had for 35 years. He quit, I quit and to Hell with NASCAR.

I emailed this question:  Please report by date, duration, location and method, on the direct ongoing efforts/lobbying since your hiring to get USM into the AAC.

I think UAB is well ahead of us now in terms of getting into a better conference. There are probably others.

Having the city of Birmingham personally invest millions into the UAB football program moved them miles ahead of us for future AAC consideration.
That’s really the question to ask Bill Lumbergh....why has UAB lapped us during your time as AD.......

Plus Charlotte.

I remember growing up in the heart of ACC country watching Holland at Virginia. He literally got ECU into the AAC based on his connections, hard work and non stop begging. He resigned roughly two minutes after they got into the conference. I wish we had gone after UGA’s old AD Damon Evans that was fired after a DUI in 2010. He made a poor mistake but was a legit AD and would have been a great hire for us.

I was thinking of Damon Evans when I posted what I posted. He's far from perfect, but he's also far from McGilbannini.

I personally put his name in the hat when he was an assistant at UGA. That wasn’t happening in 1999. I was hoping he would have gottten a look this last time too. The UGA folks I knew thought s lot of him.

Just wait a little longer. Baseball is next. Football is toast and basketball is almost toast.

USM should have already been in the AAC. No wonder UCF didn’t get a look. Payback is Hell.

I'm curious: how far South do you have to go before darky-town starts in Atlanta in your estimation? Is it pretty much anything past Roswell?

It was just a quote from Corndog Man, which is where Ace Barker the character is from.

LMAO. I've seen that movie, but it's been years. Still remember that redhead that worked with Ace. She was well put-together.

I believe she is a one and done actress.

I have not been to anything USM in years. I did not make one football game last year which was a first for me since 1979. I did catch a baseball game though.
