Too big a spot for guys with little experience.  If all hands were on deck you go Stanley, Powell, Etheridge then you start throwing people out there. You go with what got you there. Should have learned from the prior game by throwing a guy with 8 innings on the year. Get to the 5th or 6th inning before you get desperate. It's a shame the game ended with Powell still having gas in the tank. Back in the day the 1 and 2 would throw Tuesday and Wednesday. When we played MSU, OLE MISS AND LSU it was best against best on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Those were big games. USM plays better teams during the midweek than they do on weekends. Back in the Metro days that wasn't the case.

I know I'm nit pickin, but if Stanley and Powell were good to go why wouldn't they start the game and THEN throw Joe Staff?

I thought they were looking at the play at second. Wasn't in contact with the bag when he got the ball.

Agreed. Get players. We are small and unathletic.

This was the first time I saw this team play this year. Started watching in the 2nd or 3rd inning. Watched our 1 and 2 hole hitters get back to back singles and then the 3, 4, 5 hole guys strike out to leave them at 1st and 2nd. That summed it all up for me. At least put the ball in play. A dumper single over second or short scores a run. The last thing you can do is strike out in that situation. Shorten up and do your job. Pitiful.

I can only assume we were saving arms for today. So, who we starting today?

A little Super Walmart.

Is that like a jumbo shrimp?

Yep. They're tiny.

I like Nick. I think he is gone from SF. Not sure who will run with him as a project going forward but his NFL career path is very similar to Austin’s at this point. His # of starts gets him on a roster in 2021.

Nick won't be playing next year. T J surgery is a 14 month recovery, down from the 18 months it used to be.

Will Hall? I think my Food and Nutrition class was there when I went to Southern Miss. Just sign good players. Get quality linemen on both sides of the ball and everything else falls into place.

I saw on the ribbon at the bottom of screen Tyrone Nix was put on leave at UTSA. Good. Ain't gotta worry about him being coach.
