Didn't say anyone was / wasn't lying. I know for a fact that numbers and statements that come from USM (And likely all government entities) aren't always accurate.

It's just like everything else...they lie about the numbers in order to perpetuate the farce that proves a need for their positions.  Government is pro at this but so is corporate America.

Gilbert is obviously out of touch with our fanbase if he thought anything with the word “diversity” would go over well with our supporters.

I guess I’m out of touch in Florida. Is the fan base mostly racist?

I think the fan base is mostly frustrated with the ongoing flood of management-speak coming from Gilbert. We are well past the point where his Kumbaya, Steven Covey style of managing the program would be helpful.

The fans rightly perceive that surviving in any meaningful way is going to require some real vision from the AD, and we're not getting it.

USM is a diverse institution? Gee, I realized that 20 years ago. Maybe next Gilbert can tell us what our mascot and colors are.
