Our AD better step up with our OOC Schedule

North Texas just inked a home and home with Cal. 2019 at Cal 2022 in Denton.

He's busy diversifying Phil's Christmas tree. Don't you pay attention at all?

USM has some good ones and some not so good ones. Since my contact retired, I do not get any of them early or even rumors anymore.

If he did happen to work us up something, chances are we would fire somebody and have to sell our home game back to pay for a buyout.

Besides the sprinkling of SEC teams, remember:  Virginia, Kansas, Boise State, Nebraska, California, Illinois, Oklahoma State, NC State.

Believe these started after it was decided to quit playing one-way SECs and begin cultivating decent home and homes elsewhere.

Who was the AD?

Giblet needs to be selling these P5 teams on Hattiesburg’s close proximity to New Orleans and the Coast and Mississippi JUCO recruiting. P5 schools will play you at your place if you are in a good vacation spot and/or have fertile recruiting grounds. Just look at how stacked Tulane’s future home schedules are.

I've been singing that song since the Perry Como era. Only obstacles are laziness and some extremely tatery old bluehairs.

Who was the AD?

Different era. USM isn't nearly as attractive of an OOC opponent these days. Quit playing SEC teams and you get an OOC loaded with Belters and FCS.

There will continue to be P5 games available if USM is diligent. It's not like we had stacks of cash to offer back then, either.

Sorry Ace, I'm new here and ended up clicking the TTT icon on your message - Not even sure what it means yet.

Sure wish we could cancel that Alabama game in 2019 and get BYU home and home back. If there was any resemblance to a fair game here, I would not feel that way. But the SEC refs don't even treat other SEC teams fairly when playing Alabama, so I have no wish to send our boys there just to get the check.  And C-USA refs are so bad, I've seen better high school refs, so I'm not so sure I blame Bama for not wanting them there either. Although, we'd probably still be the ones screwed in the end.

The tater tot icon is for any post that indulges in, references, or otherwise exhibits the sort of slack-jawed optimism and rampant speculation that got us to where we are today. Being tatery is generally not a good thing, but you can use the tot icon freely. It gives +1 reputation to the person you're putting the tot on, because often they're just the bearer of TTT news.

Perhaps Mr. G.

I don't think it could defined any better than you just stated it. Excellent.

Re: Our AD better step up with our OOC Schedule

Georgia Southern signs home/home deals with BYU and Boise State. Per TTTers, we can't afford these series because of travel costs. Maybe we should sign a 1-1 with PCS and Sacred Heart. They will at least bring some fans to MMRS. Surely we can afford to travel 10 minutes down the road.

Your small time thinking is what got Southern where it is. Everyone knows Oak Grove and Petal are much more profitable.

Do we get to play downtown at the Graveyard, or do we have to go to the shiny new complex?
