Come on, boys, it beats the hell out of 7-9 and the Saints are still NFC South champs.

The pendulum's swinging around pretty fast down in Nerlins:

The only other game I can compare this one to is the 1995 Alabama game.  Even called timeouts in both games to set up the defense.. I hate football sometimes.

I remember listening to that one on the radio in Feel 'Em Arms. It really hurt, but it only made me more of a fan.

Re: Saints @ Vikings playoffs 2018

I stated.before the kickoff that I wished there was 5 seconds left instead of 25. The bar we were at went dead silent. I was looking for a flag on the play. Others were looking at each other as if they had just been told they only have a month to live. A woman cried uncontrollably. A man said he was going to do harm to Williams. Another said it was Payton's fault. I think this was karma that came  around for them trying to hurt viking players in the NFC championship back in 09. Whatever it was. The fluer di lis wilted and died. Later on Hebert and deke railed on the rookie Williams for half an hour. It was very disturbing to hear these 2 grown men viciously attack and demean a kid Like that on national radio. Low class by those two.

It's very well known that Hebert has a drinking problem. He has on numerous occasions been drunk on the radio using foul language. I think most in New Orleans find him to be endearing. I find him embarrassing and unprofessional.

I sadly was there.....fairly confident a guy in my row threw up. I was there in 92 as well when we failed to cover a gunner on a punt against Bama as well. Epic failures.... That was my last Bama game in person.

Oof. That does remind me of last night, but it was rougher because it was USM. The Saints will fly home and try again next year. Nobody's jumping off the bandwagon. Games like that Alabama game, on the other hand, really took the wind out of USM's sails.

Bobby embodies the word "buffoon." People give him a pass on a lot of things. He sat out a year, Jim Finks sent a bunch of draft picks to the Cowboys for Steve Walsh, and it crippled the franchise.

Hebert's also responsible for real free agency in professional football, which is great for the players, but horrible for the game in my opinion. Part of it's the fact that players change teams too much, and muddy the waters for the casual fan.

The larger issue, though, is that free agency and the salaries that result enable bullshit shenanigans by the players. Sex boats, anthem protests... people who are independently wealthy just tend to do whatever they want without consequence.

People in Louisiana have embraced Hebert because he reminds them of themselves: a dude with a funny accent who went to a University of Louisiana campus but pulls for the Tigers like it's a religion and doesn't have an objective bone in his body.

I was sitting on about the 10 yard line and as the ball was in the air I glanced over and saw Surtain all twisted around. you knew the Bama receiver was going to catch it. I still cant bring myself to watch that video.
