Re: Welcome Home......

I have to ask why??? (inter league)

I despise the DH....if one takes the field, swing the lumber, or learn how to bunt to position like a pussy at the plate...

what I do like is the goofballs finally figured out how to fundamentally interact using AL/NL synergy...

IMO, that's good enough as an additional caveat w/o creating a disadvantage on either side...

It takes away from the fall classic. Watching We Are Family beat the Orioles or even the Phillies beat the Royals would have been watered down significantly if they had a weekend series in August or September back in the day.

we'll simply have to disagree on this one...

my Cards have 7 of the last 10 vs. Cubs....that's crunch time/arsehole pucker fun...

I'm pretty certain inter league games end sometime in Aug....

Re: Welcome Home......

Screw bi-league play, but it would be cool if USM could play the Detroit Tigers at Kamper Park.

the original EZ would be full of souvenirs in the piss trough as they reigned down like meteors....maybe that would've made Michael laugh.....

I can attest the HYSA began in '76 in that outfield with boys and girls aged 11-17 playing together....

that's about as "bi" as it gets coming from soccer 'heaven'...

Re: Welcome Home......

I can see where boy/girl soccer might work until age 10 or so, especially when the game hadn't really caught fire in the US yet. No need for that now, I guess.
