Pete Golding

Was just hired by Bama. He was our safety coach Monkens years 2 and 3. UTSA hired him as DC.... Now Saban hires him.

Glad current staff had the vision to offer him a position.

Seems like most coaches have a list of people in mind when they get the head job somewhere, and they don't deviate from it.

Occasionally a new HC will retain someone from the old staff, but it's usually some boring old fart who's probably just there because he knows how to fix the projector or whatever. I'm thinking of Rick Venturi with the Saints, or Monken retaining Steve Buckley.

We had to pay Buckley for another year anyway. Might as well get something out of it.
