I voted Gilbert. The Reed Green video boards are a cool surprise, but not enough to offset some big negatives:

An inability to correct glaring problems, like the awful parking situation for football games
An obsession with short-term revenue to the detriment of pretty much everything else
Some blatant boot-licking that helps absolutely no one but himself
More shakedowns directed at his own staff
The general one-too-many-bong-hits tenor of his communications

Hopson and Berry tie for the second spot. Both have had some good talent, and recruited some of that talent, but the results never seem to measure up. USM is getting what it pays for: not much more than mediocrity.

Sadler's the opposite: a good in-game coach without the talent to make it work.

I have a higher opinion of Rodney Bennett than most people. Adding real engineering programs is something none of his predecessors accomplished. He is susceptible to the same feel-good kumbaya crap as Gilbert, though.

Bennett hired Gilbert...after hiring McG. Both were absolutely terrible hires.

We've had some real chumps in the AD role since 1999.

I would come up with 2 million to buyout the AD, basketball and baseball coaches. Then I call both John Currie and Tom Jurich and see which one we land. I immediately hire Freeze for O Coordinator/Coach in waiting. For baseball, I hire a staff of former MLB players with at least 3 years experience in the show. Basketball.....if you get Jurich go hire Pitino....if you get Currie go hire Tom Crean.
Then call YouTube, Hulu, FB and Netflix and negotiate a 10 episode reality series to the highest bidder that shows the hiring of all these clowns and the backlash we get for selling our soul.....
