USM tied to next ESPN 30 for 30

Watched the Two Bills tonight and they dropped the trailer for The Last Days of Knight. Trailer attached. Can’t stand ESPN but 30 for 30 does a great job telling sports history.

I 'member the connection, I think. A player that Bobby Knight supposedly choked- Neil Reed- transferred to USM during the James Green era.

Here's a not-so-fun fact: Reed died of a massive heart attack not so long ago (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Reed).

As far as Bobby Knight's antics go, and the people that exposed them, I remember something that was posted in my high school locker room:

"What you see here

What you hear here

When you leave here

Let it stay here."

Bring back Reed V. "Pie" TurkPalmer Eustachy.

That's going to be a good one. I remember it well. How Neil and his dad who was also on our staff set Knight up Beautifully. By accusing him of choking Neil and after Knight denied it for days and days then they released the tape they had to the media. All of a Sudden Knight lawyered up and shut up after that. I actually met Neil after we played then # 4 Cincinnati and lost by 1 or 2 pts when Neil's last second shot  came off the rim. had a beer and discussion on his Pro basketball chances.

"Supposedly"?  There's a video of it.

List of incidents involving Knight:

Tough coaches are fine.  Knight was a fucking asshole.

Filming practice was probably one of those ideas that Bobby Knight should have analyzed a bit more deeply. He had a tendency to work based on gut feelings, though.

Re: USM tied to next ESPN 30 for 30

Not sure if Bob Knight was involved in the making of the upcoming 30 for 30 but he was on The Dan Patrick show last year and said he will never return to Assembly Hall or the Indiana campus and hopes all the administrators involved in his firing are all dead.

“I hope they’re all dead,” said Knight, sitting petulantly on a 16-year grudge that he caused in the first place. “Well, some of them are ...” replied Patrick, to which Knight abruptly interjected, “Well, I hope the rest of them go.”
