Re: CUSA hoops tournament

When you have these events, you follow the well defined and easy to copy format of the bigger conferences:

You mandate every school to have a tent in the fan fest area
You mandate schools to bring in players from the past for photo ops and signatures
You mandate every mascot to mingle with the crowd between contests at fan fest
You require every conference partnership to buy a tent or have a presence
You have socials scheduled, concerts, etc....

The YMCUSA fan fest flyer is a joke. It has nothing of substance.

Southern Miss also wet the bed with their attempt at an alumni event in Dallas this week. They mailed out a flyer for a happy hour. On the front of the flyer, the event time said 5:30-7PM. On the back of the flyer, the event time said 3:30-5:30PM?????...The event said its at a restaurant in Dallas called Blue Mesa Grill. No address, just meet at Blue Mesa.....only problem, you have 4 Blue Mesa locations in Dallas. Good lawd, can someone please read this $hit before you go to print.......

Re: CUSA hoops tournament

A stretch to assume any significant number of fans will really even be there to be festivated, other than just employees of the schools on junket and locals that receive free tickets?

We still suck bigtime.

Fair assessment. Looking at Dallas alumni numbers for La Tech, USM, UTEP, UNT, UTSA and Rice, plus add families traveling for all of the athletes, local support from city of Frisco( had 5 high school buses for local basketball teams alone today at the women’s games) it shouldn’t be hard to expect a couple thousand per day attendance. That should be enough to add a few more tents and events for a fan fest IMO but it doesn’t really matter at this point....

The joke is that those girls bring a U-Haul to the second date. I'd say Judy's U-Haul is a couple years late at this point.
