RIP Cajun Eagle

Understand Larry Luster ( Cajun Eagle ) passed away. He was a fixture on many USM boards and an avid supporter of USM, even though I don't think he was an alum. Nice guy.

"I don't think being in the 6th best conference is too bad."
"Look for Crickets Robertson to be one of the first 64 players chosen in the draft."
"Went to Starkville and came within one bad throw of taking the series."

Wow! I hate to read this. I used to have a beer with him on occasion at some of the away games. Vaya con Dios  Larry.

Prayers for him and his family

Re: RIP Cajun Eagle

Sad to hear.  Never met him but seemed to be a good guy and supported USM.

Re: RIP Cajun Eagle

May he rest in peace indeed. He was a better friend to USM than many, many alumni. He was also a friend of (and asset to) this board from day one, and that is much appreciated.

Re: RIP Cajun Eagle

Was he the guy that his car broke down in Hattiesburg and that led him to adopting USM?  If so, cool story.  If not, always sad to lose a USM supporter especially since we don't seem to be replacing them very well.

Re: RIP Cajun Eagle

He was a heck of a nice man. I know he had an on-going battle with cancer or something for years. Godspeed brother.
