6-0 now. Eagles are hitting well these last two or three games.

Re: MTSU @ USM baseball

We play two tomorrow......bad weather in the forecast for Sunday

Re: MTSU @ USM baseball

Our RPI jumped 14 spots last night. We are now at #41......

Teams like Rice last season will earn automatic bids in conferences that have at-large contenders and will shrink a thin bubble.
There will always be disappointed teams after selections are made. There will be nothing the selection committee can do to reverse the missed opportunities against USA, Ole Miss and Ohio State this season.
Several really talented squads will miss out on the chance to play in a regional just like last season. We have to sweep today and finish 14-3 the rest of the way to have a legit shot for an at large if we don’t win in Biloxi. We wouldn’t be the first top 25 team to not make the dance if we can’t win our conference tournament.

That's interesting. I have anticipated the ranking and RPI getting closer together (whether in a bad way or a good way) all season. That mostly has not happened, though.

I think USM has a good chance of winning the conference tournament, but if they don't, it will be a difficult decision for the people setting the NCAA tournament field.
