Pobeda

Little mechanical watch I got recently:

20180703_174222.jpg

It's called a Pobeda ("Victory" in Russian). The USSR made millions of these and you can pick them up on eBay for not much cash.

The movement is a 15-jewel design and is known for its durability. One guy called it the "Timex of Russia" (http://edscorner1.blogspot.com/2005/12/ … eview.html) but I kind of think it's the AK-47 of watches.

You can't see it in the photo (and it's very subtle even in person), but the face has a machine-turned finish on it.

Yuri Gagarin wore a Pobeda into space.

Finally, this is one of the smallest, thinnest mechanical watches around. I really like it.
