I thought they had pressure washed the stadium... why is it so black? Did they go with my much-derided "paint it black" idea, or is the stadium really still that filthy?

painting over mildew is just a grand idea.......look just next door where the milder drippings still remain....

our admin and physical plant is dumber than a sack of 'em.....

I'm looking at the photos and I think they really did paint over large portions of the stadium in black:

Some thoughts:

When the mildew inevitably works its way back through, it will probably blend into the black paint, for a while at least.

Asses will roast on that black surface.

Did they bother to paint the upper deck?

The view from outside still has toilet streaks. Slapping new "graphics" onto that won't improve things.

I'll withhold judgment until I see the stadium in person.

I'm reminded of a meeting I attended when I worked at the Gulfport power plant. Someone asked the environmental compliance manager when we'd be done painting the plant. His response was something like, "I doubt they'll ever be a time when we're not painting it." That's just the cost of doing business in a lot of places.

there's always best method to continually maintain various substrates....and w/o question, it's a necessary cost of doing business....

I'd like to know how often, the budgeted amount, and who has been maintaining over the years....

I'd also like to know what pre-treatment is being applied.....if any (which is what I'm seeing as a missing element)....
