Braves vs. Dodgers NLDS

We're all set for a five-game series. It will be an uphill climb for the Braves, but I also think this team is built for the postseason. The Braves have struggled to put together a solid five-man rotation during the second half of the season, but in the postseason you only need to win a single series. That said, the Dodgers are very good and I give them (and Brian Dozier) the edge. It will be fun to watch.

Re: Braves vs. Dodgers NLDS

Bobby Cox told Snit just treat it like another baseball game. Don’t treat it like something more.

Maybe that was our approach last week at Auburn

What is Snit?

At least the Rockies got rid of the GD Cubs last night.

Go LA Doziers.

Braves seem to have met their match. Let's see if they can take a game. The talent differential was pretty obvious last night. Now that the games count for a lot more, that talent will tend to make itself known.

I have seen less talent dominate when it counts all season long with this team. Braves approached the trip to LA and the first game like rookies. They brought all their families out and some took in Disney World and did the TMZ tour bus ride through Hollywood.
They need to send their families home on the afternoon flight out of Burbank or LAX and remember what it felt like when the Marlins threw a 98 mph fastball at Acuna 50 days ago. They needed a split so it’s must win tonight because Sun Trust is no advantage to this squad.

Braves did not look like they had their heads in the game last night. Hope we see more fire and focus tonight. I wish Dozier the best, but I don't have much affinity for West Coast teams even when they're not playing the Braves.

Re: Braves vs. Dodgers NLDS

I went to a few games early before the all star break of the 91 season. We bought the cheapest tickets and walked all the way down to the first row of the first base side and nobody cared. Maybe they should invest a minute and remember what that team accomplished beyond the division......

Re: Braves vs. Dodgers NLDS

Kershaw's windup looks like a balk to me. I'm not a baseball expert, that's just my gut feel. Does the dude get called for a lot of balks?

2-0 in the fourth feels like 5-0 in the 8th with this team right now

Yup... time to remember it's just baseball, and play accordingly.

Kind of wondering if Gausman wouldn't have been a better opener for the series. Hindsight is 20-20 of course.

Re: Braves vs. Dodgers NLDS

Seems like the Braves need to take more of a "small ball" approach. Too many balls contacted to no end.
