USM at North Texas:  Another ornithological encounter in the minor-league menagerie. The Pigeons’ brain trust had an extra week ostensibly to correct the squander on the offensive side of the ball that cost them a win at Auburn. As for the Parakeets, they lost their leading rusher to injury then barely dodged the pickax at 0-6, 129th-ranked UTEP. The visitors still have cards to draw while the hosts are holding with a pair of respectable wins. I’ve got to believe that USM’s offense will fledge at some point, and their season is on the line this weekend. Going with my goodly gut.

All I've read is that our DBs think they are...NFL-ready.  My! They shure am better be.
