John Currie

Guy was a rockstar at Kansas St for eight years before the Trojan Horse play by Phillip Fulmer did him in with the hire of Greg Schiano at Tennessee. He settled for $2.5 million with the Vols in March. After the Kansas State Wildcats won or shared Big 12 Conference championships in football, men's basketball and baseball in the 2012–13 academic year, Currie was honored as one of four 2013 Under Armour Athletic Directors of the Year by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. Currie administered K-State Athletics' projected $71 million budget, managed 165 employees, and maintained relations with 450 student athletes. He had cultivated relationships with alumni and donors, and his department projected a $4.4 million budget increase for the 2016 fiscal year. During Currie's tenure, the school's athletics budget has increased by $26 million over its 2010 budget of $44.1 million to $73 million.

Dude is getting paid by the Vols. Has proven success and might be looking for his redemption tour. I don't think you will find a better resume out there for someone that might take the post for $500K a year.

"There was a great deal of character on that field today. They are for real, no doubt about it. This was no fluke." - Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant
