There have been a few watches branded as Eco-Drive that use both wrist motion and light to charge a battery. They were called "Eco-Duo Drive." They are a small minority of Eco-Drive watches and I'd definitely hold onto one if I had one.

There are also "Eco-Drive Thermo" watches that somehow use the heat radiating off your arm to (again) charge a battery. These are also a small minority of the overall line.

Recharging a battery is the common feature here. None of the Eco-Drives are traditional automatics.
