Re: Prayers Up......

I would like to keep him. Don't know if this has anything to do with the new AD, but that's at least mentioned in the article. I know this is at least the 3rd AD Sadler has had to deal with at USM. That has to get exhausting after a while.

Fuck that.

Glad he helped a little.

Past time to go.

We would be light years ahead with JL right now.

Lamont needs to throw anything he can at him.

Jay should be our backup choice.

Re: Prayers Up......

This is one of those situations where I wonder where our ambition has gone.

One thing James Green, Larry Eustachy, Donnie Tyndall, and Doc Sadler have in common is that when USM hired them, each had already taken a team to the NCAAs as head coach. Why are we now talking about a guy who's taken SLU to a one-and-done appearance in the NIT and a guy with one season of coaching experience (at any level)?

I'm not saying that Ladner and/or Mike Miller might not turn out to be a solid hire. It amazes me, though, how low expectations have sunk. It's a disease that's taken hold of the fan base.

Re: Prayers Up......

Go all in and offer Rick Pitino and Will Wade and see who says yes first.

Re: Prayers Up......

How about Byron Smith from Prairie View? USM could easily triple his salary and he took his team to the tournament this year.

Re: Prayers Up......

Jay Lander can coach basketball with the best of em. He's only 12 games under 500 in a high school conference so he'd work like a charm at So Miss. And he's won lots of championships.

I think we're full on our former SWAC coach quota.

We could do a swap-for.

Should have been gone a long, long time ago. She will play the CBI post season card. When she does, we can tell her we are as well and will be hiring the North Alabama coach since she knew how to beat you in Hattiesburg....

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of A-, but we'll get to see his handiwork right away.

Goodbye, Doc.

Re: Prayers Up......

I appreciate Doc staying on through dire straits and zero support to get us back on level ground. Hell of a salvage job! He deserves a medal!
