Alabama

Trying to get out in front of this before the TTToppers beat me to it.....

It was really hot during the game....
They have a bigger budget......
Their coach is paid 6.75 million more than Hop......
They are in the SEC........

So you list a bunch of indisputable facts.....

Explain the discussion. Do you think these ‘small’ facts have no bearing on the possible outcomes?

Whackjob.....to borrow a pass from the local lurker.....

Re: Alabama

“Alabama has tried to entice students into staying longer by using a phone application that tracks location and rewards Tide Loyalty Points: 100 per game for attending a home football game and 250 per game for staying all four quarters. The points can be used toward priority access to student football tickets.”

We need to implement the same reward system at The Rock.......if you make it through the entire first half against UTEP you get a corny dog combo at Sonic......

Re: Alabama

The use of the words "Alabama" and "entice" in the same sentence kind of gives me the creeps.

I need you to walk me back from the ledge, SoMs......I just realized Troy has a bigger athletic budget than So Miss......so that, plus the fact that’s it’s going to be 90 degrees with 64% humidity means we got no shot this weekend, no shot.....I think they also have better facilities as well.......

That's just mind-boggling to me. I've spent a fair amount of time in their little corner of the world, and it exemplifies the phrase "middle of nowhere" about as well as anywhere east of the Mississippi.

Athletically, they started I-A football in 2001. Academically, they're the 65th best "regional university" in the South according to USNWR.

They seem to have absolutely no advantage over USM except that they actually want to succeed.

Re: Alabama

I’m afraid to ask where we rank academically in that south regional USNWR thingy.....

Re: Alabama

Troy doesn't even make it into the "National Universities" category. It's not that they're good or bad compared to USM, they simply have a narrower scope-of-operations (regional vs. national).

Troy gets ranked in the South, USM is ranked in the whole US.

Go ahead. Jump.....

They are lemons and we are lemons. On pretty equal playing fields. Now if good ole Troy launches a thousand ships and Helena doesn’t want to come back to The Rock then we are screwed. My guess is Helena will ride the Golden Eagle home as long as no one gets an ankle sprained.....

Re: Alabama

Seems like this is being used to push Bama to schedule "better" non-conference opponents.

Man, f*ck 2019.
