OT- 9/11/2001

Always a powerful day to recognize those that lost their lives 18 years ago. Lots of college freshman across this country that were not even born when these attacks took place. Not sure if this is factual but heard this morning that more first responders and those near ground zero have passed away due to 9/11 related health issues than the number of those that passed during the attack.

Where were you on this day 18 years ago? How did you find out?

Re: OT- 9/11/2001

It was a great thing for our country to come together as one.....for about 15 minutes....

I remember for some reason I didn’t go to work early that morning. Spent the whole morning watching the news. The crew that was doing the documentary that day recorded footage that is truly horrific. In one instance they are in the 1st tower when they hear loud bangs. One of the officials ask if that is debris falling. Another tells him it is bodies of people jumping hitting the roof.

It didn’t take us long to get soft again. We should have removed the Taliban from the face of the earth by now but instead we are negotiating with them nearly twenty years later.  We didn’t negotiate with Hitler. We bombed him and his army and women and children into nonexistence. Should do the same thing to these animals.

Seems more like an injection than an attack.

We still suck bigtime.

If it's bad they're for it, if it's good they're against it - democrats!

I believe they never confirmed who the individual was in the  “falling man” picture. Very surreal image of a man that seemed at peace in his final moments of life as he fell from one of the towers.
