You idiots dig the hole deeper with every post. If you don’t think money buys nice things you are simply hopeless. We don’t have a medical school. Therefore we don’t have surgeons populating our Eagle Club. We don’t have 55,000 students paying god knows what for football with student loans when they wouldn’t know which side of the ball to hold.
We don’t have an indoor practice field or any plans for one. We don’t even get any respect in this BS conference because our brilliant leadership cut our throat even before the idiots hired an old creep for a coach. Now you sit around and complain about the game experience, concessions, bathrooms and general condition of MM Roberts while thinking the next Nick Saban is dying to come here for $150,000. Not to mention you think all the young 4stars are dying to come here with no history since they were born.  I swear I think all of you young knuckleheads live in a video game. You better wise up or life will bite you in the azs.....

Gawd you’re a special stupid. Where in the hell did anyone say money doesn’t help??  Specify Pleaseeee

It’s about being competitive. Get that into your thick skull, knucklehead

I’m still a kid playing video games?  Much like your other opinions, WRONG. and if’n I was young could figure out how to insert a Trump ‘Wrong’ meme emoji or whatever the hell its called

OK so you’re not young. I’ll try and explain in terms you probably would understand. Can Turn-a-wrench garage down on 2nd street compete out on NASCAR?
“Oh but it doesn’t matter about how much more money Earnhardt’s got. We will just get a better engine. And then we will get a new set of tires. And then we won’t get lapped in the second lap!”  Knucklehead.....

Re: Southern Miss v Bama Game Thread

I think the answer here is for USM athletics to get more money.

I used to make $3.45 / hour. I don't anymore.

So you are absolutely right!
Now how do we do that? Play Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State,Texas and Texas A$M at their place every year? That would certainly do it.
I don’t know what the answer is or even if there is an answer. But we can’t raise money now for an IPF or to really upgrade the Yurt. Not to mention the nice baseball facility that we have has been lapped by the local $EC schools. We are in dire straights and the future doesn’t look bright....

I've posted ideas, on this board and on the one that banned a lot of us. They always seem to get shot down, but what's the alternative to them? Well, you're looking at the alternative. SITYS.

That's definitely one of the ideas.

I think USM could also raise student fees. Say they take $50 more per undergraduate per semester and $100 more per graduate student. That's at least a couple of million per year- the difference between a coaching staff that wheezes and sputters to a Maybe Bowl every year and one that's actually good.

Money can also be borrowed. When you do borrow, you want to be investing in something worthwhile.

How do you know you you're investing in worthwhile? Well, if you'd taken a college sports fan from 1999 or so, put him in a time machine, and showed him USM sports in 2019, he'd probably say something like, "there's an athletic program that didn't invest in anything worthwhile."

I’m pretty sure you would have to affect change in state law to accomplish those ideas. I’m sure the college board would be fully in with it to.

Re: Southern Miss v Bama Game Thread

Well, Gumpiversity of Phoenix just put up 38 against Ole Miss in the first half.

Apparently even big piles of money don't completely solve the "beat Bama" problem (though cheating can).

Quick, someone tell Alabama Old Miss has a med school. That’ll tighten the score up right away.

"Knuckleheads" would be a great name for a chain of fast-casual sports bars headquartered in Hattiesburg.
