Not sure what ECU thought they were getting with Dr. Gil, but it looks like he's implementing the same poppycock he tried at USM.

Attendance at their 2019 football opener was down almost 5,000 vs. last year, when they started the season with a home loss (???) to NC A&T.

This season's opener was the first home game for new HC Mike Houston, and was also the first game where alcohol sales were permitted at Dowdy-Ficklen. How that adds up to a 5,000-ticket haircut is a miracle only Jon Gilbert could ever hope to work.

This morning, Gilbert is no doubt adding up pickled pig lip and Fanta sales for presentation to his boss, and putting the wraps on a trip to some exotic locale with the ECU women's soccer team.

Bring back Reed V. "Pie" TurkPalmer Eustachy.

That program is in a world of hurt right now.....dare I say almost Eloss like. Three straight 3 win seasons and this year looks to be the fourth in a row....add the fact they are two years into a $60 million dollar renovation for a stadium with terrible attendance.

I wonder if he has started yoga classes there yet.....

I would love to know if that dickhead is still sending out his rambling emails about nothing.  And you know damn well he's got a camping trip planned and once again it will be heavily attended by athletes from sports that don't generate any revenue. Dude is about as useful as a ball bag on a 90 year old!
