I expect us to pull from somewhere like SELA, or lower.

Re: USM co-defensive coordinator headed to Louisville

I understanding that the health issues he's been through can diminish the importance of other things, but I'd still appreciate more of sense of urgency, and a little less glorification for coaches in a failing program.

“The good thing is, I’ve got a bunch of excellent coaches who can coach a lot of different positions, and I kind of pride myself on being a football coach, too. I’m not that figurehead that kind of stands on the sideline." ( and uses all of my timeouts on defense )

Everyone has the right to be stupid... It's just that some people abuse the privilege.

If this guy knows how to coach football I’d really love to see him show it someday.

And the illustrious "coach" for the "defensive secondary" that was repeatedly burnt to a crisp remains firmly ensconced.

"Hopson said he was grateful for his assistants and plans to find folks with similar attitudes and capabilities.

Well damn - I was hoping we would get some with better attitudes and capabilities, but maybe we're happy with being in the middle of the worst conference.
And I guess he thinks coaches like Saban, Swinney, and Orgeron are just figureheads.  If that's the case, I'll take a figurehead any day. Besides, I think he just admitted he's not even a good coach.  roll

Hop just seems reeeeally comfortable with the status quo.

Do enough people outside the program feel similarly? I HOPE not.

Re: USM co-defensive coordinator headed to Louisville

Comes across as lackadaisical and with little or no regard for supporters.

Fans feel differently. People outside the program, but inside the university do not feel differently. I’ve always dismissed the whole “Bennett doesn’t care about football” narrative. Maybe he does care, but after a conversation I had with someone last week he at the very best drastically misunderstands Southern Miss fans in general. Pre 2012 expectations do not exist within our university anymore.

There's a line from a Van Morrison tune comes to mind: all the girls walk by dressed up for each other

Myopic bureaucrats, working for each other's approval?

Just build a virtual OC. Run it from a laptop up in the press box.

Re: USM co-defensive coordinator headed to Louisville

it's time to add this sport at the Pete now that it's 1000% turf....

e0cd0fb6bdf9908a4c10a79d1d7c3068.gif

maybe this at the Yurt in inclement conditions???

I'm certain Bennett would back it....

I'd like to see how the kickoffs work at the center line to begin....
