Is there any doubt Hopson keeps his job after the season?

I don't think so. Even 2-10 would be painted as an anomaly in an overall record of faux success, and probably blamed on muhpanduhmuck.

What's funny (ha ha?) is that the dude has coached 4 losses in a row, none of them close games, and 3 of them on national TV, and my feelings about him haven't changed one bit.

There's absolutely nothing he could ever say or do that would change my opinion of him, probably because he never makes anything happen. It all just happens to him, good or bad, and that's the whole problem.

He will most likely survive this year. Just my thoughts on it.

Guys, I think the post is crossing a moral line. Let’s not forget the current unemployment number is holding north of 8%. Imagine how hard it is to lose your job in early September and try to find another job making $500K. I’m not happy either but we all need to think about how this could impact his immediate cost of living.

You know, it's true that firing Hop could negatively impact the economy. The demand for Gallagher tickets and coffee table books about tractors would collapse.
