Does Wilbur take full control of team this week?

Wilbur... lol  lol  lol That fits the ole boy well.

Everyone seems to be thinking that he will be finalizing the hiring of his new staff and recruiting this week, then taking an observation role all week before giving the NoHop boys their walking papers Thursday night after the game.

Easier to fix than some realize. Weak conference helps greatly. We were competitive in several games even amidst the ongoing turmoil. Good leadership can turn it fairly quickly.

Good coaches can come into this crapference and win quickly. Lane Kiffin is the best recent example. That said, I don't think Will Hall is on the same level as Kiffin. I think he is an incremental improvement over Hopson. And if winning games were the missing ingredient at USM, USM's history would look much different.

Look for a few years of 8 wins instead of 6-7, but not much beyond that. Hope I am wrong (in the right direction).

Why not claim COVID tomorrow and call it a season? How does it work when you have a DOA staff finishing out your last obligations for that last paycheck and a new coach is in the same building? I would imagine the kids that want to come back next season will give it everything but those who have already made up their minds to exit stage left are mentally checked out.
