Re: AAC raiding cusa of 6 more teams.

No mention of USM.

If that's how it is, then I hope the Sun Belt spurns USM and sports get drastically deemphasized.

Called this in 2013.

Re: AAC raiding cusa of 6 more teams.

“We will be much better without those six schools,” a C-USA source said. “The AAC will see their College Football Playoff rankings drop in the Group of Five. We have a chance to leapfrog them. This is a good day for C-USA.”

Arrogance from the top. Judy’s ONLY concern is protecting her inflated paycheck and lifestyle. She let her ego decline a merger in 2018 with The Sunbelt and then hired not one but two old commissioners that were paid to put together a proposal that, “was so basic, it was something a fourth-grader could have put together,” a source said. “A lot of us were thinking, ‘we’re actually paying for this?’ ”

Fire Judy right now with cause because she caused this to go south over several years.

Let just hope our admins dont screw up the move to the Sunbelt because if staying in what's left of the CUSA becomes our only option then I'd just assume drop down to FCS.

The funny thing is our outcome has already been decided. It just hasn’t been released yet due to a financial holding pattern. It was never a decision our leadership had control over. ESPN is the ONLY one in control…..of all of this. Go to ESPN right now, you won’t see a single mention of any of this AAC expansion as of noon today, not one. They control the narrative for the Sun Belt as well, not Commissioner Gill.

For the departing 6 to pay 3 million in exit fees just to take .25 cents for every dollar the remaining AAC teams will earn just to play the same competition is head scratching. I would love to understand the financial logic a school like Charlotte is making. I get not traveling to El Paso but you still travel to Houston and San Antonio.

Re: AAC raiding cusa of 6 more teams.

I don't think Charlotte or anyone other than USM is really 100% logic-driven here.

Imagine the worst public embarrassment you've ever experienced. Would you have done irrational things to end it? That's what CUSA is, at an organizational level.

I saw that……but the next sentence in his article also said the following:

“One source suggested that the Sun Belt now could try to poach schools from Conference USA, such as Marshall or Southern Miss.”

Going to the Sun Belt is a done deal. Even Jeremy said on the Eagle Hour a week ago that this next domino would fall this week. He couldn’t say anything but that USM is positioned well. Even the interim AD at Marshall just released a statement saying basically what Jeremy said last week. When they both don’t mention CUSA in their respective comments they are literally distancing themselves from CUSA. Only the AD from ODU mentioned rebuilding CUSA because ODU isn’t going anywhere.

Seymour will literally run out of the tunnel next home game with a Sun Belt flag(que BDR)

If USM was “positioned well” they wouldn’t be SOL for the AAC, Jeremy.

Jeremy was unable to find a truck big enough to relocate the Hattiesburg campus to a major media market prior to the latest round of expansion by the AAC unfortunately………

The new additions and AAC are the laughing stock in college football. Markets, that’s it.  Still scratch my head regarding market.  Most have very little actual fan support so how will they bring market. They won’t

I live in north Dallas. In the 12 years of living here You either talk about Texas AM or the Longhorns when it comes to college ball. Might hear an occasional whisper of a horn frog but it’s rarely heard. No mentions of Ponies or Mean Green……..ever……..even when Mason Fine wasn’t injured.

Just checked the Dallas News……..another Cowboy player arrested……Mavs and Stars updates……Frisco High School football is 7-0…….not one peep about UNT and the AAC…….and the AAC headquarters is based here in Dallas, TX

Re: AAC raiding cusa of 6 more teams.

Breaking all over now that USM to the Belt is done. Look for Jeremy to make a statement tomorrow or Friday. We finally escaped from this nightmare of a conference. Here's hoping the cherry on top will be the implosion of the conference. What will happen to the remaining 6 schools? Who gives a shit. Fuck em.

Yes…….and so is Michael’s Craft Store, our latest sponsor. Judy’s team will only go as far as an electric scooter will take you when trying to secure partners for sponsors. The Globe Life annual deal was done for a whopping $75K. That’s right. They went to the guy that drops 8 figures with The Rangers and asked him for 75K for a year of sponsorships, 25K off the original ask. Michael’s probably got it for 50% off………
