Re: Jimbo pulls trigger

Does seem like an odd move. Supposedly the fans at FSU didn’t like him. And then there's the whole SEC thing. You've got meatheads like Kirby Smart saying the SEC is "by far the best conference." It's objectively false, but that kind of shit is definitely out there.

Bring back Reed V. "Pie" TurkPalmer Eustachy.

Re: Jimbo pulls trigger

He is 53 and has a 10 year deal in the 75 million Range. Don’t think he has a career path to be concerned about past this gig.

Re: Jimbo pulls trigger

If the end goal is winning National championships, this move is puzzling.

Chances at FSU far greater than at aTm.

Re: Jimbo pulls trigger

A&M has the best facilities in the SEC and the largest budget as well. They are in a much better position than they were 5 or even 10 years ago. He can win a natty there.

I think it's more about timing. If he stays at FSU, he's already on a warm seat, so it's only a year or two before his cushy job ain't so cushy. Maybe already.

With the move to aTm, he gets a new contract, a clean slate, and a whole new set of fans who are excited to have him. Further, the SEC West isn't exactly the minefield it has been for the past 2 decades.
