The other day Warren Buffet stated in his annual letter that a 'Megacatastrophe' is coming....A major catastrophe that will dwarf hurricanes Katrina and Michael will occur--perhaps tomorrow, perhaps many decades from now. "The Big One" may come from a traditional source, such as a hurricane or earthquake, or it may be a total surprise involving, say, a cyber attack having disastrous consequences beyond anything insurers now contemplate.
Now in a completely unrelated story(maybe) Arthur Blank, owner of the Atlanta Falcons, just finalized his $180 million dollar purchase of a super yacht. This normally wouldn't be news worthy but Blank is the third owner to purchase a super yacht within the last few months. Jerry Jones of course trumped everyone with size and cost by unloading $240 million on his super yacht. Redskins owner Daniel Snyder also spent $80 million on his own super yacht.
Why all of a sudden this massive need for men of an advanced age(sorry, Snyder) to go buy these mega watercrafts? I feel like I have seen this movie before but I can't place exactly where.........
