Because baseball can’t survive much longer in Tampa.....less than 5K in attendance for last nights game against the Blue Jays

Venue matters so much in baseball now. They've been in that generic-looking dome for 20+ years. When the Devil Rays moved in, MLB was riding high on a wave of steroids and people were showing up for the sluggers. The rest of baseball has moved on and has a completely new model for making money.

I can give you one exception......The Marlins. New stadium.....new ownership.....still can’t sell.
