"This place" is a reflection of our fanbase. Too many have packed it in and probably won't be back. Ever. And not just visiting message boards but having anything to do with Southern Miss unless it's the cool thing to do at the moment. We all know those moments are very few and far between.
While message boards were really just kind of starting out toward the end of the JB days, the biggest excitement I ever noticed was when he was fired and the search began. Then all the rah rah Larry shit and so on. EJ killed that aspect too. It's bad when you can't get die hard MoFo's to read a cheap pay board but when you can't get them to even read a free board, shit is bad with the program, not the board. There are plenty of lurkers here and on 24/7. Many just don't post because of all the crap that gets tossed around. As much as I enjoyed EP, I've never been interested in the EP Facebook page. Too many know-it-all fuckers there.
As for those among us, the goofy shit keeps "new" folks from joining in. With that said, I think for an unregulated board, the members of this place are actually pretty respectful of one another.
We do need actual new blood to contribute on here...not just a handful of us and one that has multiple alter egos. So, if you are traditionally a lurker, speak up!
Still sleeping with a Dixie Darling!
