It's hard to pick a sports moment without immediately thinking of a reason why it ultimately didn't fucking matter.

I'll go with the day Fedora was hired. It was the only time I felt like we actually had some measure of ambition.

University wide is the polymer science dept/building. Game changer.

Not necessarily doubting the polymer science program but just how much of a game changer is it?  While relatively young, its not done much for the fact that we are poor.

Not necessarily doubting the polymer science program but just how much of a game changer is it?  While relatively young, its not done much for the fact that we are poor.

I would say that the polymer science program has elevated a lot of otherwise poor people into the upper middle class, as have the computer science program and the graduate programs in nursing. "We" may be poor, but "I" am not, and I'm not the only one. Thanks, USM; I love you.

I'm just an old business major that really didn't get too much from USM other than a piece of paper to hang on the wall.  That paper was earned mostly by me teaching myself the material from a textbook and sometimes some decent lectures.  I learned much more after I left the Burg and finished on the Coast at night learning from MBAs that had day jobs in local industry rather than profs who never had a "real job". 

I am doing fairly well myself but because I took some risks at nearly 50 years old that have paid off.  I donate and did when I really couldn't afford to because I understand economics and what I want for the university (and me as an alum) isn't fucking free!!

Amen. I'd settle for a few of them being mere fans. You don't have to be a Super Eagle Tier Petro Dodge Level donor, just ditch the LSU shit for five minutes and make it to a game every once in a while for fuck's sake.

also the 7-6 win against moo u at jxn memorial was pretty dayum special....

Mills Kills is still one of my favorite memories......some may argue that the Enhanced Fujita in 13 might be the biggest spotlight moment in university history......
